Course Description

The Lean Six Sigma methodology is a systematic application that is focused on achieving significant financial results and increasing customer satisfaction. When properly deployed on carefully selected business projects, this methodology can lead to a significant reduction—and in many cases, elimination—of defects, process waste, and out-of-control processes, which translate into dramatic business gains. Lean Six Sigma focuses on methods for conducting quality improvement projects in production and service operations. Having built into the course - concepts, methodologies, and statistical analysis tools of quality improvement, including quality theory, standards, design, control, and assurance will ensure successfully achieve your objectives in improvement projects. Attendees can apply the techniques and concepts learned in the class both to their individual projects and to a business improvement project assigned to them by their management sponsor.

* This course includes lean six-sigma green belt level content.

Course Objectives

  • Describing the conceptual foundations of quality improvement theory
  • Explaining the significance of quality management from a business perspective for both manufacturing and service organizations
  • Describing methods used to implement quality management and assurance
  • Applying methodologies to design quality into products, processes, and services
  • Using quality tools to continuously improve an organization’s processes
  • Creating quality requirements specifications based on standards and customers’ needs
