Course Description

The training starts with basics of Microwave transmission and the basic concept, then goes ahead with typical transmission line case where  the basic tools and equipment are introduced. After that, the training proceeds to the role of antennas and their key parameters. Once the basics are understood, the propagation mechanism are discussed. The course also covers wireless channel, signal bandwidth and the mobility of the users.  During the training, the concept of cellular system are explained. The main calculations required in frequency re-use for conventional and current systems are examined. Reliability of the system and cellular planning comparison of 2G, 3G, and 4G  systems are also covered. Finally, the course discusses planning, first by emphasis on the project planning and the understanding of the regulations,  then by introducing field surveys and link analysis.
