AFLC 509 - Animal Agriculture

 

Course Description

This course will enable students to recognize common breeds of farm animals, to describe livestock production cycles and methods and to understand the place of farm animals in the world food system. The course will provide introduction to subject matter covered in more senior animal science courses, such as nutrition, reproduction, behavior and welfare, animal anatomy and environmental physiology. The interaction of livestock production with our environment will be examined.
