Course Description
This course seeks to impart an understanding of animal health and its importance in livestock production enterprises. Students are taught to recognize signs of health and ill health and to understand the principles and practices of disease prevention and treatment. Conditions of disease and ill health common are studied. The need for veterinary collaboration is emphasized and the circumstances in which this should be sought are discussed.
