Course Description
Sustainable water systems should provide adequate water quantity and appropriate water quality for a given need, without compromising the future ability to provide this capacity and quality. Accessing the sustainability features in water supply is linked to the purpose of water use, but sometimes, these purposes compete when resources are limited. In this course participants will understand the components of an integrated water resource management system. The practice of bringing together multiple stakeholders with various viewpoints in order to determine how water should best be managed will be examined. They will be able to decide if a water system is sustainable and that various economic, social and ecological considerations are considered.
