Course Description
The Rig Inspection course provide a comprehensive overview of Rig Inspection currently available and covers the essential and practices of Rig Inspection .The course provides participants with all Rig Inspection topics such Drilling equipment, Mud-processing equipment, Engine room and power plant, Electrical equipment, Safety equipment, Well control equipment.
In addition, participants will become confident using the tools and techniques for Rig Inspection and using drilling equipment in order to complete the well in safe people & operation and with efficient cost.
Course Objectives
- Familiarize a participating candidate more with the standard operation of important rig equipment.
- Improve the awareness what a rig inspection performed by surveyors is about.
- Increase the knowledge of several important standards from API, ASME, NACE, etc.
- Increase the knowledge of specific drilling-rig-related electrical safety and standards for electrical equipment on drilling rig.
- Improve the basic knowledge of the well control equipment and well control equipment standards.
- Improve knowledge of rig safety procedures, dropped-objects procedures, and safety procedures pressure testing well control equipment.
- Improve the awareness of possible unsafe equipment or practices which are present or occur on the rigs the candidate works on, visits or is responsible for.
