Course Description

This course is designed to provide participants with an introduction to the fundamental concepts of vibration measurment. Participants will learn an appreciation for harmonic motion as well as the modeling of mechanical systems. This course will  also discuss the free and forced vibration of single-degree-of-freedom systems and multi-degree-of-freedom systems; modal superposition method; vibration isolation and damping, vibration measuring instruments; vibration of discrete and continuous systems; introduction to experimental modal analysis.
