Course Description

The transportation, lifting, and installation of equipment in the Oil & Gas, petrochemical, and renewable energy industries—both onshore and offshore—pose significant technical and logistical challenges. With increasing demands for handling large modules, reactors, boilers, tanks, platforms, and pressure vessels, professionals must be equipped with the knowledge to manage heavy lift operations safely and efficiently. This course provides comprehensive training on offshore lifting and transportation, including equipment selection, risk assessment, maintenance, and safety standards.

Course Objectives

  • Understanding the different types of equipment used in off-shore lifting and transportation
  • Learning how to configure and operate the equipment
  • Calculating the different forces on the equipment
  • Performing equipment maintenance
  • Learning the basic principles of risk maintenance and analysis
