Course Description

This is a core course for the M&S and technologies, introducing participants to understanding, managing and developing simulation systems. A simulation is the execution of a model, represented by a computer program that gives information about the system being investigated. Simulation analysts conduct experiments on the investigated system to understand and evaluate the operational strategies. Modeling and simulation can be used in various stages of a system such as requirements analysis, design, development, evaluation, integration, test, evaluation and production. In the first half of the course, the fundamental knowledge on modeling and simulation is reinforced. Then in the second part, the real life simulation and models are explained by using examples from widely used simulation tools such as Anylogic.

Course Objectives

  • Having a holistic approach to M&S
