Course Description

Safety Management Systems (SMS) are the formal, top-down, organization-wide approach to managing safety risk and assuring the effectiveness of safety risk controls. This course will help participants to understand the SMS structure and elements based on the ICAO Doc 9859 Requirements. 

They will learn how to develop and maintain SMS that includes policy, risk management, assurance, and promotion. The course also covers Occurrence Reporting, Emergency Response Planning Functions, and Human Factors that threats to company SMS.They will learn how to establish effective and safety culture, prioritize and mitigate risks, evaluate risk effectiveness and to develop skills in detecting, controlling and preventing safety hazards in organizations and flight.
