Course Description
Robust and inclusive community engagement is a vital component of drafting and updating a general plan. However, our communities are increasingly made up of diverse groups that have diverse interests and obtain information in different ways. A rapidly changing world means that traditional approaches for gathering feedback may be less effective today. Busy schedules mean that citizens will appreciate convenient, comfortable, and quick ways to stay informed about government services and community issues, and also to register their views on them. In this course, participants will be introduced to various tools and techniques to perform effective outreach sessions.
