Course Description
This course introduces participants to topics such as water resources, chemistry of saline water, modeling and analysis of single effect desalination combined with mechanical vapor compression and thermal vapor compression, modeling of Multiple Effect Desalination (MED), modeling of single and multistage desalination processes. Reverse Osmosis, cogeneration, scale formation; pre and post treatment operations, economic consideration of various desalination processes are also covered.

- To learn about the different pre-treatment and post-treatment process.
- To learn the problems associated with scale formation and the preventive ways and tools to overcome such problem.
