Course Description

This course provides an understanding of history matching techniques and their role in reservoir optimization. Participants will learn how to incorporate production data into high-resolution reservoir models using conventional simulation techniques and streamline-based methods. The course covers assisted and automatic history matching, discussing the advantages and limitations of each approach. Various production data sources—including pressure transient tests, tracer tests, multiphase production history, and interpreted 4D seismic data—will be integrated into workflows. Field case studies and hands-on PC-based simulations will ensure practical application of the concepts.
