Course Description

Geographical Information Systems (GIS) analyses are based upon increasingly sophisticated methods. This course offers a very in-depth set of materials on spatial database management. Furthermore, the program takes a highly innovative and unique approach to GIS education, teaching participants the latest trends in spatial data processing, analysis, and visualization. It will also provide participants with the knowledge they need to find their way in the path created by the expanding demand for spatial data and systems expertise.

Course Objectives

  • Making correct measurements of the landscape using remote sensors
  • Predicting values for cells in a raster using interpolation
  • Strengthening spatial problem-solving abilities
  • Developing skills in topographic modeling
  • Understanding the methods and challenges of GIS implementation in your organization

Who Should Attend?

  • GIS coordinators
  • Potential implementers of GIS solutions
  • Public sector agency staff (Governmental, Institutional)
  • Private sector staff (Consultants, Contractors, Marketers)
  • GIS managers
