Course Description

This course discusses the fundamental aspects of biotechnology, it emphasizes how cell structure and function is a vital starting point for knowledge of genetic engineering and gene technology. This course explores the fundamental issues of biotechnology, such as what is biotechnology and how it came about. It explains how biotechnology is done and how it is being used today. The consequences of biotechnology applications to the lives of humans and other animals, plants and to the environment are also covered.
