Course Description

This training course will introduce the basics of digital communication and VSAT systems, explaining the particularities of Marine VSAT Systems and Stabilized Antennas. It will focus in operation of Marine VSAT systems with hands-on labs and exercises and in troubleshooting using real Marine VSAT antennas and equipment. The use of the Spectrum Analyzer will be shown for a better faultfinding.

Course Objectives

Describe VSAT service characteristics and manage the service using Custom Support Portal
Describe and compare the parameters that characterize a VSAT service
Predict the operation of a marine VSAT system under normal conditions
Identify the hazards involved when working with marine VSAT systems
Perform a basic site survey and evaluate existing installations conditions
Configure and operate marine VSAT systems
