Course Description
The SNAP-based Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), SAR Interferometry (InSAR), and SAR Differential Interferometric SAR training course (DInSAR). The course has been designed to teach the fundamental concepts of SAR and InSAR while also training participants to read, process, and understand SAR data. The program includes a topic for each day that is covered both theoretically and practically. Each topic is intended to teach specific objectives. Application examples are also provided to demonstrate the utility of each topic. The course will include theoretical lectures as well as tutorials. The entire course will be delivered in-person, with tutorials based on the use of the SNAP, QGIS, ArcMap software and real data collected over various areas of the world by the majority of existing satellites (Sentinel-1, TerraSAR-X, COSMO-SkyMed, ALOS, Envisat , and more).
Course Objectives
- Learning the fundamental concepts underlying remote sensing, RADAR, and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technologies.
